    Art II North, Engineering, and New Substation A - On 08/19/2024

    To support upgrades to the fire safety system, the inspection and testing of the fire alarm system will require construction personnel to access the mechanical room 200 in Art II North, electrical room 118A in the Engineering building, and the New Substation A building. Please note that while this work may generate localized dust and noise, no building system outages are planned.

    Avenue of the Arts - On 08/13/2024

    Due to a crane pick activity scheduled to place a rooftop transformer on the roof of the Storm Hall building, the west portion of the Avenue of the Arts roadway will be closed to vehicular traffic for the duration specified below. The Pedestrian and ADA access paths will be maintained throughout the duration of work. Please heed the direction and instruction of flaggers in the area.

    Art II North, Engineering and New Substation A - On 08/06/2024

    The pretesting of the fire alarm system in support of upgrades to the fire safety system within the buildings will necessitate construction personnel to occupy Art II North building’s mechanical room 200, Engineering building mechanical room 118A and the New Substation A building. Please be advised that the work will result in localized dust and noise, but there are no planned outages to any building systems.

    Avenue of the Arts - From 08/05/2024 to 08/30/2024

    Due to ongoing electrical upgrades within the Storm Complex (Aztec Shop Terrace, Nasatir Hall, Storm Hall, and Storm Hall Terrace) buildings, the west portion of the Avenue of the Arts roadway near the electrical yard will be closed to pedestrian and vehicular traffic for the duration specified below. There will be construction fencing and delineation to close off the area. ADA access paths of travel are not anticipated to be impacted.

  • Electrical Infrastructure Upgrade Notification

    UPDATE - Art II North - Planned Electrical Outages - 06/10, 06/24, 07/03, and 07/19

    As part of the campus electrical upgrades project, a series of electrical outages for the building is required. The outages will impact the 2nd and 3rd floors. There will be periodic construction personnel traffic in and around the building throughout the entire duration of the work. The outages will entail a total loss of power for the durations specified below, affecting systems such as heating and air, lighting, receptacle convenience power, card/access/access control, elevators, etc. It is highly recommended that sensitive equipment unable to withstand an outage should be powered down the day before to avoid unanticipated impacts to the equipment during the outage window. After each outage, users will be able to re-enter the building and confirm that power is restored and systems are fully functional. Any issues should be communicated immediately to the project team using the contact information provided at the end of this notification.

    Work will require construction personnel to occupy rooms equipment rooms 104A, 200, 200A, and 318A, as well as ceiling spaces in rooms 104, 104B, 202, 202C, 202D, 206, and 318 throughout the duration of work. Please be advised that work will result in localized dust and noise, but there are no anticipated impacts to any building systems. Any work within specific occupied spaces will continue to be coordinated with room users prior to the work taking place.

    Aztec Circle Drive & Facilities Services North Driveway - 01/15/2024 - 01/19/2024

    Medium voltage cable pulling work will limit vehicular access on the Northern end of Aztec Circle Drive to the West lane throughout the duration of work. Vehicular thru-traffic will be maintained by flagmen directing traffic in alternating directions and alternate pedestrian/accessible paths will be delineated by signage, flagmen and traffic control. Access to COGEN and Facilities Services through the East end of the driveway will be limited to small trucks and cars, with all other vehicle access maintained through the West end of the Driveway. Please be advised that work will result in localized dust and noise.
