Due to a crane pick activity scheduled to place a rooftop transformer on the roof of the North Education building, the southeast portion of the Aztec Circle Drive roadway and the sidewalks parallel to Atkinson Hall and North Education along Aztec Circle Drive will be closed to pedestrian and vehicular traffic for the duration specified below. The Pedestrian and ADA access path along the buildings and Aztec Circle Drive will be periodically interrupted for a short duration while the crane travels over the path. Please heed the direction and instruction of flaggers in the area.

Due to a crane pick activity scheduled to place a rooftop transformer on the roof of the Arts & Letters building, the west portion of the Avenue of the Arts roadway and the sidewalks parallel to Art I South and PSFA along the Avenue of the Arts will be closed to pedestrian and vehicular traffic for the duration specified below. The Pedestrian and ADA access path alongside the Art I South building will be periodically interrupted for a short duration while the crane travels over the path. Please heed the direction and instruction of flaggers in the area.

Fence installation will require vehicular traffic on Canyon Crest Drive to be intermittently limited to one alternating thru-lane for both directions of travel. Traffic will be directed by signage, flagmen and traffic control to ensure thru-traffic is safely maintained while work is being conducted above Canyon Crest Drive. Proactive precautions will be in place to avoid falling debris from impacting the road below, but drivers are advised to please heed all signage and flaggers who will be monitoring conditions throughout the duration of work.

Vehicular thru-traffic will be maintained by flagmen directing traffic in alternating directions and alternate pedestrian/accessible paths will be delineated by signage, flagmen and traffic control. Access to COGEN and Facilities Services will be maintained through the West end of the Driveway. There are no electrical or other building utility service interruptions anticipated. Please be advised that work will result in localized dust and noise.

In addition to the initially communicated closure in Lot 16, the area closed to parking will be increased. Following August 16th, 2024, the closed area will revert to the original configuration as previously communicated. Fencing and signage will be installed as required.
