Please note that the Engineering building will experience a hot water interruption throughout the duration of the work outlined below. This interruption will affect all sinks and restrooms but should not impact other building systems.

Three ADA parking stalls in front of the Engineering building will be closed to facilitate construction material loading and unloading. No additional impacts are anticipated.

The installation of the fire dampers in support of upgrades to the fire safety system within the building will necessitate construction personnel to occupy Electrical Room 32B throughout the duration of the work. Additionally, construction traffic within Maintenance and Repairs Room 32 will be necessary to facilitate the work. As part of the campus electrical upgrades project, a series of electrical outages for the building is required. The outages will impact the 2nd and 3rd floors. There will be periodic construction personnel traffic in and around the building throughout the entire duration of the work. The outages will entail a total loss of power for the durations specified below, affecting systems such as heating and air, lighting, receptacle convenience power, card/access/access control, elevators, etc. It is highly recommended that sensitive equipment unable to withstand an outage should be powered down the day before to avoid unanticipated impacts to the equipment during the outage window. After each outage, users will be able to re-enter the building and confirm that power is restored and systems are fully functional.
