Please be advised that Planning, Design & Construction will be performing a project that may impact you. Below are the details of the scope of work and anticipated impacts:

Scope of Work: Investigate existing underground fiber pathways and install new fiber from the campus Cogen Plant to Substations B and D.

Reason for Project: Work associated with the Electrical Infrastructure Upgrades project in support of current campus needs and future growth.

Anticipated Impacts: The investigation of existing underground fiber pathways will intermittently impact vehicular access on the East side of Aztec Circle Drive and access roads near Geology Mathematics and Computer Science (GMCS) and Chemical Sciences Lab (CSL). Although partial lane closures will be required along Aztec Circle Drive as construction personnel access street manholes, flagmen will manage traffic flow in alternating directions to maintain vehicular access. There are no significant impacts to pedestrian or ADA paths anticipated. Please note that the work may generate localized dust and noise, but no utility outages are expected.

Start Time / Date: 06:00 AM, Monday, August 26, 2024
