Please be advised that Planning, Design & Construction will be performing a project that may impact you. Below are the details of the scope of work and anticipated impacts:

Scope of Work: Review and validate device connections associated with the upgrades to the electrical infrastructure throughout the buildings.

Reason for Project: Work associated with the Electrical Infrastructure Upgrades project in support of current campus needs and future growth.

Anticipated Impacts: In order to evaluate device connections safely, a planned electrical outage for each building within the Storm Complex is required. There will be periodic construction personnel traffic in and around the Storm Complex buildings throughout the entire duration of the work.

The outages will entail a total loss of power for the durations specified below, affecting systems such as heating and air, lighting, receptacle convenience power, card/access/access control, elevators, etc. It is highly recommended that sensitive equipment unable to withstand an outage should be either unplugged or powered down the day before to avoid unanticipated impacts to the equipment during the outage window.  

After the outage, users will be able to re-enter the building and confirm that power is restored, and systems are fully functional. Any issues should be communicated immediately to the project team using the contact information provided at the end of this notification.

** Please note that the buildings will be closed to the public throughout the associated outage windows detailed below. **

Duration of Impacts: Note that each building may experience an outage limited to 2 hours within the 4 hour outage windows indicated.

• Storm Hall West and Aztec Shop Terrace - Friday, January 10th, 2025, from 4 am to 8 am (4 hours)
• Storm Hall and Nasatir Hall - Monday, January 13th, 2025, from 4 am to 8 am (4 hours)
