Please be advised that Planning, Design & Construction will be continuing a project that may impact you. Below are the details of the scope of work and anticipated impacts:

Scope of Work:  Investigation of motor control center in Basement Floor Room 6.

Reason for Project:  Investigate breaker sizes for future work associated with the Electrical Infrastructure Upgrades Project.

Anticipated Impacts:  Mechanical and plumbing systems will be impacted in 2-5 min durations affecting the mechanical building systems (HVAC, exhaust fans, hot water tanks, cooling towers, R.O water controls, air compressors, absorption machines, condensate pumps, booster pumps, radiators, welding, time switch relays, etc.).  Users may experience a brief lack of air flow and/or temperature control in rooms within the facility.

The brief outage is NOT anticipated to impact electrical panels and/or receptacles serving equipment such as computers, fume hoods, refrigerators/freezers, etc.   However, it is advisable for occupant equipment to be turned off and experiments sequenced/paused appropriately the night prior to avoid any unexpected impacts resulting from unforeseen surges or electrical outages.

All physical work will be conducted at the motor control center panels located within Basement Floor Room 6.
